Self Description
My academic background:
I am a graduate of Applied Chemistry with First Class Honour (CGPA 3.92) from University Malaya. My result was the best result of my batch and this made me won the Ajax Chemical Book Award.
Besides, I scored A for Chemistry in STPM (3As and 1B+) and SPM (10As). During Form 5, I was given Cik Fong Lye Chin's Award because my Chemistry result was the best result of my batch.
I was a scholar of Kuok Foundation Study Award (to study Applied Chemistry in University Malaya) and Skim Biasiswa Universiti Malaya (to further study in Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya).
Currently, I am a PhD student in Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya.
My tutoring approach:
1. Study note I prepared contains ALL and ONLY essential points which arranged systematically.
a) Concise and organized study note is very important for student to understand a concept and apply in exam.
b) Since students have to handle at least nine subjects in SPM, concise note is useful during revision period because students do not have to spend a long time to refresh.
c) Study note that is too elaborated tends to make students confuse during examination.
2. Study note I prepared is in the format of fill in the keyword.
a) This is to encourage students to recall and apply what they have learnt in school by fill in the keyword.
b) Fill in the keyword is helpful to attract attention and strengthen memory of student.
3. I will explain the concept of each subtopic before teaching.
4. I will guide student to do exercise after every subtopic.
a) This is to make students apply immediately what they have just learnt, which is useful to strengthen memory.
b) From the exercise, I will be able to know whether the student has master that subtopic or not and provide additional assistance if necessary before move to another subtopic.
5. I will share with student:
a) The way to study for SPM Chemistry.
b) The skill to answer SPM Chemistry questions.
